1. Enter Your Income

Tell us how you get paid

Enter your take-home pay and how often you get paid. We support monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, and semi-monthly pay schedules. If you're paid bi-weekly, you can optionally set your next pay date so Waypoint can anchor your pay cycle.

$

Bi-weekly × 2 = $4,500/month (conservative estimate)

2. Pick a Budget Template

Start with a template, customize from there

Choose from six budget templates designed for different life stages. Amounts automatically scale to your income. You can edit every category, remove ones you don't need, or add your own.

FAQs

What if I go over budget in a category?
+
Don't panic! Going over budget is normal, especially in your first few months. Look at where you overspent, adjust your budget for next month, or find another category to reduce.
Can I track multiple bank accounts?
+
Yes! With the Plus plan, you can connect multiple bank accounts and credit cards. All transactions sync to one place automatically.
How do I budget with irregular income?
+
Use your lowest monthly income from the past 6 months as your budget baseline. When you earn more, allocate the extra to savings or debt.
Is my financial data secure?
+
Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption, and if you connect your bank, we use Plaid (trusted by major apps). We never see or store your banking credentials.
