Manage your cookie preferences

Your current analytics cookie preference:

Not set: Anonymous analytics runs; marketing cookies are off

You haven't made a choice yet. By default, anonymous analytics runs (never tied to your identity) and marketing cookies stay off. Choose your preference:

Note: Strictly necessary cookies (for login and app functionality) cannot be disabled. This preference only affects optional analytics cookies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how you use the site, and provide a better user experience.

Waypoint Budget uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our service, improve your experience, and analyze usage patterns.

Types of Cookies We Use

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They cannot be disabled.

3. Analytics & Advertising Cookies

Two different rules apply here. Anonymous product analytics (PostHog) runs by default: it is keyed to a random identifier, never tied to your name, email, or account, and dollar amounts shown in the app are scrubbed before anything is sent. Advertising cookies (Meta, Google Ads) are strictly opt-in and are never set until you accept them on the cookie banner. Before you decide, the Meta Pixel does not load and Google's tag runs in cookieless consent mode: no cookies, no stored identifiers, aggregate ad measurement only. Choosing Decline on the banner (or the preference tool above) turns off both entirely.

Your choice: Advertising cookies are never set without your consent. Anonymous analytics runs by default and stops immediately and persistently when you decline. You can change your preferences at any time using the "Manage Cookie Preferences" tool at the top of this page, and we honor your browser's Do Not Track setting.

4. Performance & Analytics (No Cookies)

These services run without cookies and collect only anonymous, aggregated data.

Vercel Analytics: Cookie-free page view tracking using Web Vitals API
Vercel Speed Insights: Cookie-free performance monitoring

Privacy-First: These services use no cookies, collect no personal data, and cannot identify individual users. No consent required under PIPEDA.

How Long Do Cookies Last?

Cookies have different lifespans:

Session Cookies

Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. Used for maintaining your active session.

Persistent Cookies

Remain on your device for a set period (from 1 day to 1 year). Used to remember your preferences and consent choices.

Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers have a"Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. While we respect your privacy choices made through our cookie banner, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals as there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret them.
